This error stack has been generated in cases where the RMAN user record in the password file is corrupt. Remove and re-add the RMAN user to the target database password file. Sysdba privileges are required. 1) You must log in to the database as a user with the alter user privilege. Refer to the Oracle 8i Adminstrator's guide for proper syntax. 2) Remove and add the user to the orapwd file. 3) Grant the sysdba privilege to the RMAN user. When the RMAN command ran and tried to log in it failed. This created a mismatch on the character set because there was no character set. ... |
