Здравствуйте!
Вот такая ситуация.
Перевели БД на другой сервер (подняли instance перекоммутировали СХД). БД все работает, вопросов нет.

При создании бекапа, но на стадии когда происходит delete noprompt force obsolete;
RMAN выводит сообщение
RMAN retention policy will be applied to the command
RMAN retention policy is set to redundancy 2

using channel ORA_DISK_4

При этом до delete noprompt force obsolete;, все команды отрабатывают и сам бекап создается.

Так же выводит сообщение ORA-00904: на команды:

Как оказалось все просто... разный патчлевел на старой и новой БД
