Source control is the process of managing and maintaining multiple revisions of the same file in an archive.
An archive is a user-defined directory that contains a text version of the file as well as information about each revision of the file, including a description of all file changes and when they were made.
Using an archive, a member of your development team can retrieve, modify, and return any revision of a file in a safe and consistent manner.
Components (e.g., Form Builder) provides source control in via a generic interface to any source control provider you want to use. Plug-in modules are currently available for the Polytron Version Control System (PVCS) from INTERSOLV and Pure-Atria Clearcase, with others forthcoming.

For information on installing and using PVCS, refer to your INTERSOLV documentation.
PVCS also supports file locking and archive reporting.
