Overview
========

The Oracle VM Virtual Appliance for Oracle GoldenGate 19c (19.1.0) Microservices Architecture facilitates the creation of VM instances with Oracle GoldenGate 19c Microservices Architecture. The associated python installation script extracts and installs the initial Oracle GoldenGate 19c binaries. You are responsible for running the Oracle GoldenGate Configuration Assistant (OGGCA) located in the $OGG_HOME\bin directory.

Virtual Appliance Description
=============================

The Oracle Virtual Appliance for Oracle GoldenGate 19c Microservices Architecture provides the pre-installed Oracle Database 19c client and pre-positioned binaries (in a ZIP file) for Oracle GoldenGate 19c Microservices Architecture.

The software home directory is /home/oracle/software.

Note: This virtual appliance contains the GA release of Oracle GoldenGate 19c Microservices Architecture and the Oracle Database 19c client without additional patches or updates.

Combining the ZIP files to recreate the .ova file:
==================================================

Ensure that no other file other than the ZIP files are there in this folder.

Move to the folder where the ZIP files are located:

$ cat ogg_19.1.0.0_ma_* > ogg_19.1.0.0_ma.ova

Compare the checksums of the .ova file produced after combining the zips and the original .ova file.

Note: Downloading from Oracle Software Delivery Cloud (OSDC) includes "V" part number in Zip files while it includes 'p' prefix for MOS Download . But unzipping will result in the same files for both OSDC or MOS . You may proceed with above Cat command to create OVA.


Installation Instructions
=========================

After creating an instance from this virtual appliance, unzip the Oracle GoldenGate 19c Microservices using the enclosed python script (installOGGMA.py) as the Oracle user with these commands.

[oracle]$ cd ~/software
[oracle]$ python ./installOGGMA.py
