Мое терпение почти кончалось. Проблема - периодическое повисание Backup Server(а) ASE 12.5.0.3 из за которого естественно перестает делаться Backup (или сохранение лога). Перезапуск сервиса решает проблему, но не на долго (максимум неделя) и повисание повторяется.

из backup.log видно что проблемы есть, но как их решить? и связаны ли они с зависаниями не очень понятно. такие ошибки в логе после каждого Dump database или Dump trunsaction

This is due to a connectivity libarary bug, CR 312057.

SRVLIB: In the reentrant libraries, open server raised error 16331 whenever
a site handler connection completes.

It is fixed in BS 12.5.1 and higher.

I advise upgrading anyway, but you don't have to for this issue.

Очень странно, но это было последнее сообщение Backup Server после чего он не подавал признаков жизни. Естественно как следствие переполнение лога и т.п. Конечно возможно что эта ошибка ничего не значит, но сервер то виснет, а где копать совсем не понятно...
