iAnywhere Introduces Beta For Next Generation of SQL Anywhere

Sybase TechWave 2005 attendees receive a preview of the new database and synchronization features of the next generation of SQL Anywhere; registration for the beta program now open.
August 22, 2005 - iAnywhere Solutions today announced the opening of the beta program registration for the next generation of SQL Anywhere, its market-leading data management and synchronization solution. In addition, attendees of Sybase's TechWave 2005 User Training and Solutions Conference will receive a sneak peek of the major enhancements in the upcoming release of SQL Anywhere, codenamed "Jasper." Beta software will be available in the fourth quarter of 2005, and developers are invited to pre-register for the beta program at: www.ianywhere.com/sqlanybeta.

iAnywhere will be conducting information sessions on SQL Anywhere Jasper at TechWave 2005 outlining many of the new features including:

* Materialized Views - offers improved query performance and concurrency for complex queries requiring a significant amount of processing time
* Hot Failover - ensures that server-based solutions in frontline environments can provide even higher levels of always available access to mission critical information in the event of hardware failure
* Performance and Application Profiling Tools - enables developers to quickly and efficiently identify and resolve a wide range of application and database performance related issues

Also at TechWave, the SQL Anywhere engineering team will be conducting usability testing on new graphical administration tools used for the setup, testing, and deployment of synchronization systems based on MobiLink, the powerful bi-directional database synchronization technology in SQL Anywhere.
