1. Roles and Privileges

A complete set of system privileges and roles have been added to increase security by providing you precision
over the capabilities you want your users to have. For every privileged operation that can be performed in the
system, a system privilege has been created. Roles combine privileges into logical groups. SAP Sybase SQL
Anywhere provides you with many predefined roles, but you can also create your own roles.

2. ARRAY and ROW Data Types

An ARRAY type is a homogeneous, multi-dimensional collection that can be passed in whole or in part as an
argument to SQL stored procedures or functions. An ARRAY type can consist of up to 6.4 million elements. An
ARRAY is initialized to an ARRAY of the declared type, where each element is NULL. ARRAY types can handle
two levels of page size structures of 8 bytes each and one level of 16 byte structures.

A ROW type is described by a row type descriptor, which consists of the field descriptor of each field in the ROW
type. ROW types can handle two levels of page size structures of 8 bytes each, and one level of 16-byte
structures. ROW types are restricted to 45000 fields, which is the same limit as the number of columns in a
table.

. OData Support

OData (Open Data Protocol) enables data services over RESTful HTTP. It allows you to perform operations
through URIs (Universal Resource Identifiers) to access and modify information. SAP Sybase SQL Anywhere
now includes an OData Server that allows web clients to communicate with a SQL Anywhere database server.
Web clients can send OData requests to a configurable OData Producer hosted in an HTTP server, which
converts OData concepts into relational database operation

4. LDAP User Authentication
Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP) is an industry standard for accessing directory services. LDAP
user authentication allows client applications to send user ID and password information to the database server
for authentication by an LDAP server instead of using the catalog. Authentication using an LDAP server allows
organization-wide password management.

5. Database Mirroring and Read-Only Scale-Out Enhancements

• Events can run on the mirror or a copy node
• New MIRROR remote data access server class
• Dynamically start a mirroring or read-only scale-out database on a running server

6. MobiLink Profiler

The MobiLink Profiler is a MobiLink administration tool that provides you with detailed information about the
performance of your synchronizations. Synchronization data from your profiling session is saved in a profiling
database file.

мда.. заметные изменения только в безопасности произошли. Но кому нужна навороченная безопасность в СУБД, которая в основном используется во всяких эмбеддедах? :(

думаю, что-бы нумерацию с ase выровнять.
