From http://www.microsoft.com/accessdev/articles/jetlund.htm Calling DBEngine.Idle dbFreeLocks or FreeLocks. However, these commands do not always free all read locks when inside a transaction (see lock log examples later in this paper). Note that the dbFreeLocks constant is used in DAO 3.0 and 3.5 and are used when Access 7.0/8.0 or VB 4.0/5.0 opens a Microsoft Jet 2.x database. If Access 2.0 or Visual Basic 3.x is used, then the constant would be DB_FreeLocks. ... |
