The R language does not include built-in relational database access capability, but there are many data access interfaces available from vendors or through the Comprehensive R Archive Network (CRAN).

Для кругозора - язык "R" уже интегрирован во многие решения IBM Big Data - IBM BigInsights, IBM Streams, DB2 BLU и т.д. Далее, решение IBM Informix TimeSeries входит в состав IBM Big Data. Есть возможность интеграции IBM Informix + IBM Streams with R и т.д.
