В дополнение, The changes for IDS 11.50 are: ------------------------------ * Sub-capacity licensing is now available for Express and Workgroup Editions * Include HDR for the Workgroup Edition at no extra charge - Increase up to 2 HDR secondary nodes - Read only on secondary nodes, no writes - (Note: Writes to any and all secondary nodes will be on the Enterprise Edition for both primary and all secondary nodes.) * Remove Parallel Performance Feature for Workgroup to provide more edition differentiation - Parallel query, parallel index, parallel load, high performance loader, parallel backup/restore, and table/index/dbspace partitioning are now only available on the Enterprise Edition with new licenses - We have grandfathered Workgroup Edition license holders before 10 February 2009 to have entitlement to use the above parallel functions. Benefits for customers: ---------------------- * More flexibility to deploy IDS Express or Workgroup Editions in virtual servers for server consolidation or capacity management. * Potential cost savings with more flexibility in deployment, where they can deploy a virtual domain with a smaller configuration using Express or Workgroup Edition. * Increase High-Availability (HA) for SMB customers who need to have more than 1 standby node to failover for their disaster recovery plan, but they do not have the budget to go up to the Enterprise Edition. * Greater resource utilization on HDR secondary nodes. Справедливости ради, нужно заметить, что хоть на вышеуказанный HDR соотвующие HDR-лицензии уже покупать не нужно, но цена лицензии на сам Информикс увеличилась... Поэтому кажущейся с первого взгляда существенной экономии не получится. ... |

Справедливости ради, нужно заметить, что хоть на вышеуказанный HDR соотвующие HDR-лицензии уже покупать не нужно, но цена лицензии на сам Информикс увеличилась... Поэтому кажущейся с первого взгляда существенной экономии не получится. Возможно, что Вы правы, но это лучше, чем было раньше .... :) На счет цен - так они растут не только в IBM.
