Does anyone know about OLAP trial license? Is it exist for DB2 ??? What's the IBM policy??? I've got a DB2 trial license at 2001, got some experience, and made two commercial projects, for both customers have bought licenses. in 2003 I've got requirements for OLAP - and I lost customers! I could not find trial OLAP, I could not get experience, I could not make an offer! The life of independent software developer is not easy at all with product from IBM. There are personal edition DB2 for linux and windows - but there are also a planty of developers who still works on SUN workstations! And what shell we do??? ... |

Go to you local IBM Office and ask about trial license. IBM have procedure for getting products for evaluation purposes. ... |

Nikolay Kulikov - now for about one month the closest to me IBM representative is in Moscow. ANd sorry for english - I just came back to Russia and don't have monitor yet, and can't type russian (I have russian fonts and can read, but don't have russian keymap and can't type ). Don't hesitate to use russian :) ... |

Need help, db2'ники! Помогите разобраться с этим прайсом. Нужен OLAP сервер и к нему инструменты разработки. Пользователей будет около 25, разработчиков 4-5. Какие строки в эксле взять? Спасибо. ... |

Пользователи на Web и или толстый клиент? Какой инструмент анализа предпочтителен Cognos, Hyperion Analyzer, microstategy etc? Сколько одновременных пользователей? ... |

Основные пользователи на Web, но должны быть ещё и на толстом клиенте. По поводу инструмента анализа. В спецификации был указан какой то OLAP Server Analyzer - недостаточно ли его? Одновременных пользователей, думаю, будет не больше 10. По поводу QMF. В прошлый раз по ссылке была информация для QMF for iSeries, но она ссылалась на QMF for WebSphere. Говорилось, что QMF supports every platform that WebSphere do. Но c iSeries опять какие то проблемы. Для работы QMF нужен какой то ISMP, которого на iSeries нет. Да и в supported systems iSeries не значится. ... |
