Помогите разобраться с установкой VFP 7-9. У меня были установлены все эти версии, то есть я сам их устанавливал и всё проходило нормально. Правда, был глюк с 8-кой - она ставилась только при копировании дистрибутива на винт. После этого, я решил удалить все версии и заново установить только 9-ку. Этого, к сожалению, не удалось. После копирования предустановочных файлов, задания папки, куда устанавливать, при бегущей полоске появляется сообщение "Removing registry entries" - и сразу после этого выскакивает ошибка с предложением просмотреть Errorlog и Installlog. Пробовал установить прямо с винта - тот же результат. После этого попробовал установить 7-ку и 8-ку - к моему удивлению выскакивала та же самая ошибка. Удалось поставить без проблем только 6-ую версию.

Я уже и реестр весь перелопатил, всё подчистил вручную - толку... Решил наконец-то переустановить винду XP. И каково же было моё удивление, когда на чистую систему я опять-таки не смог поставить ни одну версию 7-9.

Может, у кто-то сталкивался с подобной проблемой?

На всякий случай, параметры машины: Pentium-4/3000MHz/GeForce 128Mb/512Mb/80Gb, хотя не в этом дело...
Устанавливать пытался как на SP1, так и на SP2. Неужто придётся заново переустанавливать всю машину?.. Может, ошибка в том, что я сначала опять-таки поставил VFP 6, а потом уже пытался ставить 8-ую версию? Хотя раньше-то мне удалось это осуществить без проблем.

Так вот в чём и дело, снос тоже не помог. Есть у меня подозрение, что я перед установкой фокса ставлю какую-то прогу, которая потом глючит последующую установку.
Может, дело в виртуальном CD-ROM'e?

Там вообще-то идёт запрос имени, - пишу без кавычек. Да не в этом дело, если бы ошибка заключалась в имени, установка сразу бы выдала ошибку.

Виртуальный - не для установки, а просто для других программ. Кроме того, ставлю NOD32 Antivirus, Офис, и другие проги. В принципе, ничего такого, что на первый взгляд мешало бы самому Фоксу.

Такое ощущение, что ошибка возникает при попытке чистки ссылок реестра, то есть сразу после выдачи сообщения "Removing registry entries".

Постой-постой... в имени кавычек нет, а вот в названии организации присутствуют. А что, это играет роль?

А вариант ли поменять имя в реестре? Или всё-таки придётся переставлять заново систему?
С другой стороны, на рабочем компе Фокс установился без проблем, хотя в имени пользователя Винды значится: ООО "Альтаир". Ну и что с того, что там кавычки?
