Буквально вчера озадачился тем же самым вопросом. Новоустановленная android studio. Новый проект а одной activity по шаблону Basic Activity. В дизайне не отображает контролы на форме. При запуске всё на местах (тулбар сверху, посередине формы "Хэлло ворлд", снизу справа плавающая кнопка). Гуглил, нашел то же самое, что из-за тем скорее всего. Только вот изменение тем не помогает, перетыкал практически все - нет контролов в дизайне. Может кто что-нить подсказать?
