Чем отличается веб приложение от веб сайта? Что меняется, когда мы нажимаем кнопочку "Create Application" в ISS менеджере?
для веб эпликейшена создается отдельный процесс? Или что?

Provides the same Web project semantics as Visual Studio .NET 2003 Web projects.
Has a project file (structure based on project files).
Build model - all code in the project is compiled into a single assembly.

Web Site project model
No project file (Based on file system).

Dynamic compilation and working on pages without building entire site on each page view.

Это с точки зрения именно проектов вижуал студии а я имею ввиду именно случай, когда мы нажимаем кнопку "Create web application" меняется только процесс билда - весь сайт в одну сборку, а если просто сайт, то каждая страница каждый раз будет компилитсья?
